A calm, paper-toned block theme for writers, journalers, and small publications.

== Description ==

Bersua is a reading-first WordPress block theme with warm paper colors, restrained editorial typography, and layouts designed for independent writers and small publications.

The theme includes templates for the front page, posts, pages, archives, authors, search results, and the 404 page. It also includes editorial patterns for post lists, Notes, comments, navigation, and writer introductions.

For complete installation, setup, and customization documentation, open the included GUIDE.html file in a web browser.

== Installation ==

1. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes.
2. Select Add New, then Upload Theme.
3. Upload the Bersua ZIP file and activate the theme.
4. Open Appearance > Editor to customize the templates, navigation, styles, and starter content.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= How do I customize the front page? =

Open Appearance > Editor > Design > Templates and edit the Front Page template. Replace the example writer identity, biography, location, and the you@example.com contact links before publishing the site.

The Front Page template provides a complete editorial layout and does not automatically display the content of the page selected as the site's homepage.

= How does the Note section work? =

Create a post category with the slug notes and assign it to short posts that should appear in the Note section. If the category is missing or has no published posts, the front page displays an empty-state message.

Posts in the notes category are excluded from the separate Latest writing list.

= How do I change the navigation or footer? =

Open Appearance > Editor > Design > Patterns and edit the Header or Footer template part.
